brutal long distance running (7 km)

no. we are not normal...

You won't need your classic running gear, but you will need your good mood. And there will be plenty of mud!

“Are these normal?” you might ask… Let’s say, it’s understandable until you experience the Brutal Run. Because then you’ll get mixed up, get muddy and arrive at the finish line with a smile from ear to ear – with a little sand crunching between your teeth. Dress code? Why, you’ll get dirty anyway. So there are two types of people: those who have already started the Brutal Run and those who will. Which group do you belong to?

information for the day of the event

The timeline here you find.

The competition center will be established at the entrance gate of the Nyáregyháza MotoCross track.

Opening hours: 7:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

There will be net timing at the event, the timing service provider is EvoChip Hungary.

You will receive a single-use chip for the chosen race, which will only measure your time for this race.
Important! You can start the race with the EVO Classic ChampionChip provided by BSI. The chip is given with a Velcro strap that can be attached to your ankle and must be worn as such.

BRUTAL STARTING NUMBER
There is no -classic- start number at the event. Your start number will be written on your arm and/or other part of your body when you pick up your start packet, as is common in triathlon competitions.

The two starters in each race are written with different colored alcohol markers.

CHIP RECORDING
There will be no chip collection at the BSI registration office in advance!
When you register, you will receive a confirmation that you can use to pick up your chip only on the day of the event, at the race center, no earlier than 1.5 hours and no later than 30 minutes before the start of your race. Chips for the current and future races can be picked up at a separate location.

CHIP SALE
The chip must be returned after reaching the finish line, before leaving the race track.

If you fail to return the chip on site, at the latest Until June 20, 2024 You can return it to the Spuri Futóbolt store on Váci út during opening hours. If this is not done by the specified deadline, we will debit your balance in the BSI database with 1,000 HUF.

CHIP CONTROL
Check your chip to see if it is working and if your chip is associated with your data. You can do this at the table marked with the Chipkontroll sign in the competition center.

As a first step you have to call, only after choose a race! (Only for the 7 km, classic distance.)
The race selection by clicking here You can do it.

Due to the specifics of the Brutal Run 14.0 course, the entire field cannot start at the same time. In other words, it could still start, but there would probably be congestion at the first obstacles. And we don't want those who have paid the entry fee to rest or catch their breath, even for a moment.

You can choose a race no later than midnight on June 5, 2024, after which we will assign entrants to the remaining empty places on site.

PROGRESS OF THE RACE

We have set a limit of 400 people per race, the track can adequately accommodate this many participants at a time.

Race start times: 11:00, 12:10, 13:20, 14:30

Depending on the number of participants, we may open new races in the future.

Those registered for the races will be started in several waves in the order they entered the starting zone:

  • First start: the announced time of the race, after which the next waves will be started every three minutes.

All race participants must be at the entry gate by the official start time, but we will allow participants into the start zone in groups of approximately 60-70 people.

Good to know:

  • You can only register for the races after submitting your entry, using the start number you received in the confirmation;
  • your application for the event only with registration and race selection valid;
  • to register for a race in the online registration system you know
  • A competitor can try their hand at multiple races; you must submit as many entries as you would like to participate in.
  • Participants who do not pre-register for any race will be assigned to the remaining available spots. The race allocation will be available in the last newsletter before the event.
  • each participant can only start in the race for which they registered (due to the technical nature of chip timing)

Starts of classic 7 km races: 11:00, 12:10, 13:20, 14:30

Depending on the number of participants, we may open new races in the future.

We provide changing facilities in tents set up on site. We ask everyone to arrive in the same clothing they will be wearing for the race and to use the changing rooms only after the race.

The cloakroom is located near the changing rooms.

The restrooms in the central building of the track cannot be used, for this purpose we will place mobile toilets and urinals next to the starting zone.

Please note: We do not store valuables in the cloakroom!

The changing room and cloakroom will be open from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. (If we open a new race, the cloakroom opening hours will adjust accordingly.)

The parking lot will be located outside the track, to the left of the Nyáregyháza exit of road 405. Parking is free, but the number of spaces is limited.

Those shorter than 130 cm are not allowed to participate in the event due to the design of the obstacles.

Over the 7 km distance, 36 obstacles must be overcome on the brutal course.

For showering, we have cold water outdoor showers set up on the track, and you can use the motorcycle wash. Due to the limited water flow, the shower in the building cannot be used. We ask everyone to be moderate in the amount of water used, our water resources are limited, as some of the showers are operated from a water truck, and a temporary water shortage should be expected until the truck is filled.

THE On a 7 km route We will set up refreshment stations at two locations, at 3.6 km and 5 km, where you can refresh yourself with water, and you can also refresh yourself with water at the finish line package collection tent before the start and after reaching the finish line.

The staff at the refreshment station will not hand out water in glasses, everyone can take it from the tables themselves.

Waste generated on the track must be thrown into the collection container placed after the refreshment station, and at the start and finish refreshment stations, it must be placed in the used cup collection tube placed next to the table.

We ask everyone not to put used cups back on the refreshment table.

There is no level time at the event.

There is no prize at the event.

course and obstacles (Brutal running long distance)

No matter how fancy your shoes are, you'll start the Brutal Run in socks. You can obviously put your shoes on, but how fast? And what if we time them while you're at it? There's no time to shape a bow, adjust it to look pretty, or tuck it under the tongue of your shoe. You'd better start practicing.
Obstacle description: Before the start, you must place your shoes behind the starting grid set up on the starting line. You may only put your shoes on after the starting horn sounds.

What do you do if you come across a straw bale that looks like a hedge on the course? Here's our secret, it's very simple... jump over it or fall over it, as you please. The point is, somehow get to the other side so you can see what's beyond the hedge. Kb. a 70-80 centimeter high obstacle made of straw bales that you must overcome in order to continue your journey. You will encounter this obstacle twice on the course.

It won't be a train, just an old barrier. No, it won't be either, because it's already been torn down, but we'll pretend it's there. And you pretend you're going under it.

We get caught, you get out. Or not.

The point where hope ends and insight begins: neither your shoes nor you will walk away dry. RAn artificial mini-lake, which, although unsuitable for beaching or fishing, is perfectly suitable for getting you wet. Mud sticks much better to your wet clothes. Encountering an obstacle is inevitable.

What lies beyond the peak where the short-tailed pig roams? We won't tell you. Climb up and see for yourself.
A stepped elevation built of straw bales. Climb up. Descent: climb, fall, wings, etc.

Switch to kangaroo mode and grab your feet! We won't put a puppy in your purse, but we'll put tires under your feet. There will be a whole hill where you can jump off, only uphill of course! SA hillside decorated with tightly packed car tires – a military training ground with a twist. You can get over the obstacle by stepping into the middle of the tires.

Can you swim? Di Caprio fans preferred. It is a water obstacle with a mining feel, meaning the water depth may vary in places.

Fog is good for a tired runner, it nourishes and covers him. You can hide in the fog or get lost. Don't worry, we'll find everyone after the race.
A curtained bunker shrouded in fog, the fog making it difficult to find your way around. Overcoming the obstacle requires some courage, watch out for the children!

Provided you can pull yourself up. Before the obstacle, it's worth making friends with athletic fellow runners, they'll pull you up or push you up... But only after you've experienced what's down there, under the cordon...
There's a cordon to avoid from below, then a platform about one meter high, which you can pull yourself up onto with the help of a rope. Once you've reached the top, you won't have much time to celebrate, because you can jump off - and start all over again.

How old do you feel? We'll renegotiate after the obstacle. KA special vertical, muddy, slippery climb that you can only climb on your own. If you really can't, you can grab onto the mud lumps and tufts of grass found in the tracks.

The peak is typically a place where there is always a lower point. If you make it all the way to the top, you are guaranteed to be at the top several times along the way, and then... Feel like a kid: you can slip or roll down, your eyes and clothes won't stay dry.
A slide covered with foil, which is constantly sprayed. The high-pressure water jet sometimes wanders and “accidentally” finds a runner or two.

Big air and find Nemo. Returning cartoon characters and runners found underwater at the finish line is mandatory. A water obstacle where a wooden plank at the water level prevents further progress. The only way to get through is by diving under it. The water will of course be crystal clear, as is usually the case on a motocross track.

Section, be careful! Pull yourself out if you can… One step forward or back? Bring a compass with you! 1A 00-meter stretch of road covered with camouflage netting, in which case the netting weighing you down makes it difficult to move forward and find your way around.

Were you good at math? Do you know the sine wave? Imagine it, double it. Then it goes up, then down, then up, then down... Double hill.

Life is expensive. The top torn off by the barbed wire stretched above you is also expensive. The moment when you realize that the only chance you have of getting over the obstacle unscathed is to crawl with your belly firmly in the mud, is priceless. Crawling 100 meters – under barbed wire. There is mud down there, which we constantly water to keep you from drying out!

What should you do if you come across a straw bale that looks like a hedge on the course? Here's our secret, it's very simple... jump over it or fall over it, as you please. The point is, somehow get to the other side to find out what's beyond the hedge.

Just run… if you can. With this section of the course, we’re keeping the appearance that Brutal Run is a running race. But don’t get too excited, we’re obviously not going to just let you run…

The summer sun is shining brightly at the Brutal Run in Nyáregyháza. Cool off in the forest! Our improvised labyrinth guarantees a meaningful pastime. Find the exit, or circle it from morning to night! We'll find you at the end of the day.

Do you also change your winter tires to summer tires, and summer tires to winter tires? We do, and there are many of us, and we have collected the excess for you. Get over it yourself.
So this is an obstacle A mountain made of car tires that you can't get around, you have to climb over. Be careful where you step!

The ordeal doesn't end here, another brutal round begins before you reach the finish line :)
