Thousands of people wallowed in the mud with Dr. Gábor Zacher at the Brutal Run

The Brutal Run, the most extreme event of the Budapest Sports Office (BSI), took place in a crazy atmosphere in Nyáregyháza on Saturday. At the extremely good family event, women and children proved that they are not afraid of obstacles. Even Dr. Gábor Zacher, a returning participant of BSI events, took on the entertaining challenge and stood in the mud together with the crowd of several thousand.

This year, the Brutal Run took shape: despite the harsh name, in addition to exercise, the main focus in the Nyáregyháza mud sea was also pure fun and families. One of the special participants of the event was Dr. Gábor Zacher, chief toxicologist, who overcame the slippery, muddy obstacles with his usual enthusiasm and humor.

The Nyáregyháza motocross track turned into a real adventure park, a mix of an amusement park and a military training ground. The participants had to deal with temporary ponds, straw bale and tire formations, as well as obstacles made heavier with wire and camouflage netting, created on the hilly sections of the mud-covered track. Here, the most important thing was not the time result, but the adventure and laughter experienced together.

Each finisher received a unique finisher's medal, but the real reward was the experience they had together. Water can come to the mud, BSI welcomes everyone to its next event, which will be the MOL Campus Bay Swim in Budapest's Lágymányosi Bay on June 21. In the meantime, registration is already underway for the Balaton Bay Swim, which this year - weather permitting - will take place on July 26.
